The Lego 3677 Red Cargo train is going to be a brand new Lego train set was announced in the Lego product catalogue for 2011. This appears to be a Cargo Train themed set, I was a little bit let down, seeing how the Maersk was a Cargo train, but none the less I am excited for the release of this set. This set was even announced even the Lego Catalogue! Well, sort of. The Lego 3677 Red Cargo train was first spotted at Lego World 2011 in Copenhagen, Denmark, then in the catalogues. Either saw it first in the catalogue, or at the convention, this set is going to be released in the month of August. No information on how many pieces come with this set, or how much it will cost, but from the pictures I have examined, it appears that there will be four train wagons, three minifigures, and a lot of accessories. Of the four main train engines, there appears to be the red main train engine, a brown tipper wagon, crane wagon and Cargo wagon. Of the accessories, there appears to be a truck, a coal distributer, and a brand new mini-train car that I haven’t seen before. Unlike the Maersk train, which it had a matching color scheme, where everything was all Maersk, but with this one, is more realistic. In real train yards, most of the wagons there are mingled mashed, and jumbled about, which means no wagon looks the same, it is both realistic-ish and fresh idea. I loved the old Cargo train I’ve reviewed some time ago, and this one is like its new little brother, a fine addition to the family! The only thing I don’t like about this set that it appears to contain both flexible tracks, and curved track! I prefer the curved tracks over the flexible tracks, because the flexible tracks are kind of clunky to use, and I feel like it will fall apart when that train makes it’s turn. I think, either have one or the other. This will be a collector’s item one day, so grab them when you can!
