The River Ballroom Exhibit was the last stop at Brickworld, and it was a great way to end it too! There were very few displays, not as impressive then the ones in the Ravinia ballroom exhibit, but even more so then the Botanic garden exhibit. The exhibits are carefully planned out, and well executed; but the only problem with them is that there were not too many of them. Unlike the Botanic Garden, it was not equal is vendors, and exhibits, now here the percentage of vendors to exhibits would be 75% to 25%. All four corners of this room are full of vendors, selling everything from Lego sets, to stop-motion DVDs. The most noticeable booth of all of Brickworld must be the Brickarms, and Brickforge vendors. How could you not notice it, because there are posters and signs all of the hallways when you enter, advertising them. Besides the trains, being my first priority, I thought it would be a nice treat to get some accessories from some of the vendors, but to my disappointment, they’re all sold in packs, not individual. Last year they used to sell them separately, but this year they sell them in little packages that go for five, to eight dollars a pack. The lines are also the worst; I stood in line for a half hour to pick out something I wanted. Overall, minus all the waiting, and standing Brickworld was the best convention I have been to since the Cantigny Train show. I will be looking forward to next year to go again.
