Lego 111 Starter Train Set without Motor |
|
The Lego 101 Battery Box is a universal motor controlling device for all 4.5 volt train sets. This set came out in 1966 and came with only one piece, the controller itself which had to be bought separate to make the train run. The Battery box had three different settings to put it in, you can put it to make it go forward, you can make it go backwards, and you can make it stop all together. A great thing they did with it, that instead of following it around while it went around the track, it was actually attacked to the back of the train engine. It ran on a few batteries, similar how a modern product, the 8881 Battery Box from power functions does. The Lego 111 Starter Train Set without Motor was released in 1966, contains 123 pieces and includes 0 minifigures. |
