The Lego 3677 Red Cargo Train released information on the details of this up-coming Cargo Train for fall of 2011. There are a total of 831 pieces, and some of the most desired pieces are going to be included within this set, the Power Functions pieces. Unlike the 10219 Maersk train that didn’t include any Power Functions pieces, it resulted that the 10219 Maersk train will not be able to run. To make it run, you would have to buy them separately, and they don’t come without a pretty penny. The Lego 3677 Red Cargo Train however, comes with all the essential Power Functions part to have it motorized. A motor is a motor, but what is it going to run on? This set includes 40 pieces of track, 16 Flexible, which you might recognize to be the 8867 Flexible Track, 16 curved tracks, and 8 straight rails. With a track that long, there must be something to do, and somewhere to go, with this you load up the train with precious cargo, and to remove rubble from the conveyer belt. The train includes three different train wagons; not including the main the main train engine, there is the brown tipper wagon, cargo wagon, and vehicle container. With the tipper wagon, you can dump the store rubble in it from the conveyer belt, and with the cargo wagon, you can place oil drums, and crates for a safe journey across the track. The vehicle container wagon has a slot where you would put the truck, and a mini crane to load the truck with crates and oil drums. With all those functions from the train, crane, truck and conveyer belt, there must be a way to control them all right? There included four minifigures to handle all these tools to your needs. This set is due to release this fall, so keep an eye on your local toy store, but if it is a Lego only exclusive, check the Lego shop at home page.
